I am excited to tell you about "Dollhouse: Art as Serious Play", curated by Priscilla Otani and myself, open from January 15 thru February 19, 2021 at Arc Gallery in San Francisco. Within the bounds of an imaginary dollhouse, this exhibition showcases art that uses the tropes of playtime - storybooks, toys, dolls, games, dress-up, imaginary friends, and secret spaces - to explore the serious and playful nature of art-making. The works compel the viewer to recall the joys of make-believe and to appreciate the unique interpretation of “play” that each artist brings to the dollhouse.

In addition to co-curating the show I have contributed two pieces, "Mossycoat" above, and "Swan Brother" below. Both artworks are based on fairytales.  Please join us at the reception on Janurary 15, from 6 to 9pm. For details got to https://www.arc-sf.com/dollhouse-2022.html
